We welcome your enquiry about retirement living at the Willoughby
Village which offers both Self Care and Hostel accommodation in
Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia.
The official business name of the village is Willoughby Retirement
Community Association (ABN 60 001 838 777). This is a non-profit
community association set up in the early 1970's on land donated by
Willoughby City Council to provide accommodation and care for retired
and aged people, with a priority for those from Willoughby and
neighbouring areas.
The Village has 60 self contained apartments, including 10 (hostel
managed) Outreach residents located in a tower building and town houses,
comprising studio, one and two bedroom units. The Hostel has 30 single
rooms. Outreach is a service provided by the Hostel to assist
Residents living in self care units and who require extra help in
everyday activities.
The Village facilities include a separate lounge / library / computer
room, a Community Function / Craft Room, outdoor barbecue, a communal
laundry on each floor of the Self Care tower, and a
dining room for Hostel & Outreach Residents.
Our contract type is as a "Deed Of Licence". Annual Report of Directors
& Financial Statements are available from the Village on request.
