We welcome your enquiry about retirement living at the Willoughby
Village which offers both Self Care and Hostel accommodation in
Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia.
The official business name of the village is Willoughby Retirement
Community Association (ABN 60 001 838 777). This is a non-profit
community association set up in the early 1970's on land donated by
Willoughby City Council to provide accommodation and care for retired
and aged people, with a priority for those from Willoughby and
neighbouring areas.
WRCA is managed by a board of volunteer directors employing 25 professional staff.
The Village facilities include a separate lounge / library / computer
room, a Community Function / Craft Room, outdoor barbecue, a communal
laundry on each floor of the Self Care tower, and a
dining room for Hostel & Outreach Residents. Adjacent to our self-contained apartments is Willoughby Hostel which provides studio accommodation, dining and daily assistance “in-house".
WRCA’s campus has 88 apartments of different styles and sizes ranging from studio to three-bedrooms. WRCA currently manages 48 self care apartments and 40 government funded places providing “low level health care” including “Outreach” assistance.
Outreach
“Outreach” is a service provided by our hostel to residents living in self-contained units who require help with everyday activities. WRCA is pleased to offer flexibility in accommodation and levels of assistance for individual residents, including couples in two-bedroom units with different health care needs.
