About Us

We welcome your enquiry about retirement living at the Willoughby Village which offers both Self Care and Hostel accommodation in Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia.

The official business name of the village is Willoughby Retirement Community Association (ABN 60 001 838 777).  This is a non-profit community association set up in the early 1970's on land donated by Willoughby City Council to provide accommodation and care for retired and aged people, with a priority for those from Willoughby and neighbouring areas.

The Village has 60 self contained apartments, including 10 (hostel managed) Outreach residents located in a tower building and town houses, comprising studio, one and two bedroom units.  The Hostel has 30 single rooms.   Outreach is a service provided by the Hostel to assist Residents living in self care units and who require extra help in everyday activities.

The Village facilities include a separate lounge / library / computer room, a Community Function / Craft Room, outdoor barbecue, a communal laundry on each floor of the Self Care tower, and a Hostel Residents dining room.

Our contract type is as a "Deed Of Licence".  Annual Report of Directors & Financial Statements are available from the Village on request.
